August Sales Surpass Expectations

Typically a quiet month for New York real estate, especially as the city heads to the Hamptons, this August experienced unusually robust sales.

507 sales took place in the last two weeks in August, which includes contracts signed. Meanwhile, the third quarter 2007 averaged approximately 700 sales per month - making this August a complete success.

If August is typically one of the slowest months of the year, I can't wait to see what this fall - when the real estate market picks back up after the summer - will bring!
